Believe!

Yesterday I watched an animated movie and while watching it I realized that happiness is largely dependent on our believes. If you believe in it and try hard (by that I mean you actually, really, truly have to believe) then and only then you can make it work.I don't know how many of you would agree to it and I am sure many of you would say I am an idealist but the fact is life is pretty much based on these small things and all of them work on believe! The stronger your believe is the easier it would be to get it! All in this world is much dependent on our believes and every believe carries a certain amount of weight which has the energy or the power to attract the things we want and the things we believe in! It's amazing to know that our collective thoughts and believe have even more weight-age than our singular thoughts.Unfortunately  as humans we agree on only few rare things and the others are just labelled with compromises. The important part to consider here is that

Damsels in distress at Work

Talk about being a female and surviving the corporate world. It's not easy! Where opportunities are unlimited and success rate higher for the women; there is still a lot of pain and misery involve! The fact that is most evident is that these damsels are 90% of the time not rescued by a knight in shinning Armour. We are pretty much on our own in the Corporate World and the situation is "take it or leave it" So, the damsels have to learn to be the knight for themselves and protect their self from all that is out there. It's been 5 years that I'm in the corporate world and believe it or not I have seen it all. From obnoxious attitudes to stupid over-the-limit charming behaviors and my the corporate jealousy and flirtation! Most of the time you'll feel as if you are nothing more than a decoration piece. The worst of all is the believe that being woman makes us inferior or if we are gaining success in our careers it is because of the fact we are woman! Why ca

Where is your mood switch?

Image
Anyone with a little observation and understanding of the human nature would know that the moods of the people change not only because of their own self but mostly because of others. That’s interesting....it looks like as if our mood is like a switch placed in the board on the wall and anyone can turn it off or on whenever they pass by. But don’t you feel it’s a little maddening?? You can’t control your reactions?? Have no idea how to save you from the frustration! Come-on why let others control it......if your mood is in the hands of others then I think happy moods won’t last long, isn’t it?? The society we live in, especially the South Asian countries, they have this tendency to poke their noses everywhere and interfere in every one’s business, its natural to them and done without any negative motive behind. It’s the general make and type; however it does leave the other person with negative feelings. You need to keep your switch in your own hands! Don’t let other tur

Failures....a sure way to achieve success

For anybody who reads it, this may sound a very contradictory statement however its true that those who have never seen failure in life can not and have not succeeded at anything at all. What do we understand by the term failure in general is a feeling of disappointment and hopelessness and a confirmation of your worst nightmares. That line of thought is a product of general negative thinking prevailing in society, however history has witnessed many who have seen great successes, which have resulted from positive attitude and great many failures. When we talk about failures we have to remember one thing which is extremely crucial in maintaining a positive outlook on things and gaining success is that failures are only faced by those who are willing to take risks and who are making effort to gain success and achieve targets! If you do not faced any losses or failures then my dear you are doing nothing progressive, new or extraordinary.... Why fear failures? There is no need to fe

Do what you love!

Everyone in this world is working on one thing or another, yet are we all happy to be doing what we are doing? Is it our passion? Are we enjoying ourselves along the way?? After some research and analysis of human behavior I can safely say that 90% of us are not happy doing what we are doing...Donald Trump once said that "passion helps you do better" If you are passionate about something then you will be willing to go that extra mile, take the heat on, work long hours...heck you would even work when you are not suppose to work, and this all comes from with in you. If you don't want to do something yet you have to do it, you will but that would not be done with love and passion. You will do it for the sake of doing it. And that would never be enough! Find something you like or love in everything you do! Be it any profession, you can be a doctor, teacher, engineer etc.....find something you like to do in that field. and for all those young ones who are just starting up

Life as I see it

22nd Sep '12 From the moment a person opens his/her eyes the experiences began to happen which shapes the attitude and the mindset of the person and make him what he is. Is it not amazing that the moment eyes open our lives start shaping up, experiences happen and we become an individual with an specific identity and personality. But what goes wrong then? Why some of us become bad? or Sad? or disappointed or disturbed? Why life turns us into cynics?? Why we feel despair? Life is suppose to be happy, sweet and full of love and care. Why we loose it?? When a kid is born he is like a sponge, absorbing everything that comes his way, the relations, attention, surroundings....everything! Along the way he experiences many things, various emotions that effect his thinking, alters his beliefs and shape his attitude. You know everyone of us has been bestowed with same intellect and feelings, it is just the experiences that mold us. We believe as a kid that we'll d

The Art of giving Interviews - 2nd edition

How many interviews have you given?? 1, 3, 10, 15 etc??? Do you realize that every time it takes equal amount of courage and patience to go through that? I was jobless for a year and a half and this gave me ample opportunity to master this fine art of giving interview...! here are some useful pointers to assist you in getting the best out of every interview: 1) LOOK YOUR BEST: When you go for an interview please please look your best....we as humans like to work with people we like best. So give it your best shot by dressing up in the most corporate style! 2) POSTURES & GESTURES: Give all the right signals! It's very important that the messages you are sending with your non-verbals is giving the interviewer the right impression of you being a positive and confident person. Remember we respond more to non-verbals than verbals of a person . 3) YOUR WORTH IT: So your nervous? It's ok, anybody can be nervous. But why show it to anybody and most of all to the person w

Lasting Relationships

Image
Relationships! not so easy to make not so easy to break and the most difficult thing is to make it work and keep it going. Relationships are God's way of giving us something to hold on to and keep on living and moving, they are a means of happiness, peace and love. Yet at the same time they can hurt like hell, drown you in misery and destroy you and your self esteem. The magic is in knowing how to make your relationship last or what makes it work? The answer lies in the feelings you have for that person (be it any relationship), what you want and what you want to give back. There is no getting around the fact that it will and it does ask for a lot of sacrifices and compromises to make it last forever, yet in my experience its also a fact that sometimes compromising and sacrificing is worth it cause you can see the person you love smile and happy. One must also understand that no one individual can make it work, it has to be a mutual effort. No matter how much effort you th

Mindsets....and women

We at all times blame people around us for having mindsets that are at best weird and at worst criminal or disgusting yet we never made the effort to understand the root cause of all this. we have to understand what prevails in the society, why its prevailing and what are its resultant consequences. In society like ours there are varied mindsets which amazingly at times are poles apart. The one that is most affected by the mindsets is the role of women in our society. One group will define it as restricted and confine to the walls of her home where as, the other would define as an important part of the society playing the leadership role, managing work as well as her home and being the best companion to her soul mate. A religion that prides itself on the respect of women and their innumerable rights, see its followers violating it. There are varied issues and circumstances faced by the women and the most interesting one is faced by the women whose modern, educated and a bread earn

The Corporate Dilemmas

For all those who are working or who have worked at one point of time or another would be familiar with various odd situations that happen on regular basis in offices. It's amazing to note that these situations are usually caused be the know-it-all types! these are the people who consider themselves smarties and grab every opportunity to make a point (God knows how ridiculous it gets). They are the most common factors of frustration, humor and stupidity. A classic example of human nature going crazy. Everyday a person working in the corporate environment goes through a series of emotions, from hilarious to frustration, sadness and misery and of course a little bit of happiness now and then. The most irritating of the times is when a new idea is popped into your head and your crazy enough to present it in the executive forum. It literally feels like you have just presented a body for postmortem and then you bury the poor fellow in the piles of advises and instructions...at the en

The Ever Changing Me

16th Sep '12 Attitude......the Crux of all! A must learn for anyone who is in a transition phase. And boy the learning I had....a complete makeover my attitude went through. But believe it or not its worth the effort. Atleast now I am willing to make efforts for my own happiness. You know why we suffer so much in life? its because our attitude is not right. We 90% of the times believe that "Its regarding me so it would never work" or "the things I want are always hard to achieve" that continues to reinforce our negative believes and tends to frustrate us in everything we do! Honestly, till last year my attitude was one of a martyr...sacrificing myself. Don't know what kick I used to get in letting everything go and then crying alone at nights. Now I realize its not a vary pleasant feeling. Now that I am happy and value this happiness I understand that I was a fool acting that way. M glad I'm changed! I now truly believe that I have all the righ

The Ever Changing Me!

15th Sep 2012 I myself wonder why I'm writing this but here I am, probably cause someone requested for it. Writing became a part of who I'm over the years, though it has been a year or so that I updated my blog...which is for the sole reason that my job leave me with very less time..I have continued to write my dairy and so on. Over the last couple of years and especially in the last one year I realized that I have changed a hell lot, and by this I mean a HELL LOT!! We really don't realize how experiences, people and our environment in general is shaping us up but it does and does a great deal of it. I forgot to love and live a few years back, what cause that to happen is a long story and how I found myself is another chapter altogether but what matters most is the fact that we all believe that we know what we want, we believe that we know ourselves and then someone or something makes us realize that we never truly understood ourselves let alone understanding another
